Within the Tedom Holding company, the CHP unit manufacturing group is one of Tedom´s key business divisions. By the end of 2008 the number of manufactured and sold TEDOM CHP units reached 2000 with total installed output of all units closed to 500 MW.
The average output per one unit ranged 200 kW, during the last years the annual sale is about 200 units. Annual growth of installed electrical output ranged from 60 up to 100 MW.
Currently, TEDOM is one of Europe´s premier CHP manufactures in the field of small-scale cogeneration with an output range from 5 to 2000 kWel. TEDOM exports its products to more than 35 countries in over the world – from Australia through across China, Russia and the whole of Europe up to the Americas.

| 1991 | TEDOM company was founded in Třebíč and the first TEDOM CHP unit was manufactured with an output of 22 kW powered by a Škoda Favorit combustion engine |
| 1994 |
the holding structure of the firm has started to form. TEDOM gradually operates its thermal-energy systems in several towns of the Czech Republic |
| 1995 | the number of manufactured CHP units reached 100 |
| 1996 | the first CHP unit with a Caterpillar engine was introduced |
| 2000 | TEDOM extended its activities to Slovakia |
| 2001 | electricity generated from biogas (TEDOM has started to concentrate on the support of alternative energy resources and offers its clients CHP units designed for biogas combustion) |
| 2002 | TEDOM started to deal with energy-efficient use of the landfill gas |
| 2003 | the 1000th CHP unit was produced. TEDOM extended its production capacities through construction of new buildings for power engineering production and a large storage area of spare parts for CHP units. TEDOM purchased the production facility for LIAZ engine manufacturing in Jablonec nad Nisou |
| 2005 | the QUANTO range was introduced extending TEDOM CHP power using MWM engine |
